dōnō, meaning to give, is a charitable community based application that allows people to donate items to others in their community as well as receive items if they are in need. This application uses Firebase authentication to login or sign a user up. Once logged in with a usr name and password the application uses the users geolocation to pull up message boards, donations and polls for their specific community.
The application not only features polls, community posts, and donations posts, but it also includes a private chat feature where members can coordinate to exchange goods and donations. The application is meant to bring the community together in trying times without needing an exchange of money for goods.
It was created as a modern solution to bring a community together to help one another in varying times of need.
